Here at Morgan Elis we want to provide all our clients with the best possible service. However, if you are unhappy or have any concerns about the service you are or have received then you should let us know immediately, so that we can try our utmost to resolve the issue.

It would be helpful to you and to us to contact the person who is working on your case in the first instance to discuss your concerns and we will endeavour to resolve the issue. If you would like to make a formal complaint, then you can request our full complaints procedure. Please be rest assured that making a complaint will not change how we would deal with your matter.

If we cannot resolve your complaint directly, then you can make a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman. The Legal Ombudsman will investigate your complaint independently and it will not affect how we deal with your matter. However, before accepting a complaint for investigation, the Legal Ombudsman will check that you have tried to resolve your complaint with us first. If you have, then you must make your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman:

  • Within six months of receiving our final response to your complaint

and

  • No more than one year from the date of the act or omission being complained about; or

  • No more than one year from the date when you should reasonably have known that there was cause for complaint.

Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)

The Solicitors Regulation Authority can help if you are concerned about our behaviour.  This could be for things like dishonesty, taking or losing your money or treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or other characteristic.
